Made between Circa 1950 -1961. By Ingeborg Lundin ( 1921 - 1992 ) . Lundin is well known for her beautiful ariel technique glass for Orrefors. This vase is a freeform piece made early in her career. Sometimes referred to as the " pregnant lady vase " as it looks just like a lady who is 4 months pregnant. It is worthy to note that Lundin was the first female to blow glass for Orrefors. Superb condition. Vase is an ovoid creation measuring 8 " high by about 4 " diameter with the bottom and top tapering a little smaller. Should be in a museum. Lundin has 5 pieces of glass in the Corning Glass Museum and many more elsewhere.

Circa 1958 - 1959. EXTREMELY RARE. None found in the Corning Glass Museum. By Jacob Bang ( b . 1889 - 1965 ) , Produced in 1958 or 1959 when Bang was doing some auxialliary design work for dinner services and cookware. Bang worked off and on for Holmegaard in the 1930's, in 1952 and in 1958 -59. He must have in no doubt caught up with Per Lutken and did some modern glass design similar to Lutken's , except that he kept his trademark " flat top " and executed in his favorite colour blue. Each piece is mongrammed " JB " . All three pieces are DIFFERENT ....yet 2 are indeed similar but are not the exact thickness , height , etc. the taller slender one has a buffable , yet very minor scuff near the bottom. All around they are considered near mint quality or better. No cracks, chips or flea bites. The single slender vase is 5 3/4 " high while the 2 smaller thicker vases are 4 1/2 " and 4 3/4 " high respectively. Given Bang's age at that time, it is understandable that he would do smaller , less heavier pieces. From a local Guelph doctor's private collection. I will gladly sell one , two or three pieces, however breaking them up will cost more. THESE are Ultra RARE. I no of no other glass dealer who has Jacob Bang glass in the Per Lutken modernist style. This set belongs in a museum......or simply create your own ! Serious inquiries only please.

A very nice and seldom encountered piece with the rare applied glass side decorations. Measures 3 1/2 ' high by 2 " diameter. Properly marked " LCT " only, which is typical on small glass wares, no number . A period original piece. Rich lustre. CONDITION NOTED , one part of the thread of side decoration glass has fallen away. This occurs now and again with any threaded decorative glass of this era. I am listing this piece anyways on site as it is still extremely beautiful and quite rare and still shows to the nines ! Without the damaged thread this piece would be $600 + class, however , the price has been reduced by about one third. consignor code ( 2450583 )
