My better guess is that they are fancy French or Austrian markings from a private artisan. Looks to be a head of Mercury in an octagon. Finess of silver approxiamately 0.850 to 0.900. Weight of 149.2 grams translating to a bullion measure of 4.0 + troy ounces of silver. If you know the markings please send in an email as my source references do not cover these markings. Measures 4 " high by 2 " diameter at the top and is 5 " diameter at the Base. Superb condition but noted for a glaze chip as shown in the picture at the bottom of the base. Colours transform from green to orange to silver. Shows to the " nines " ..... however, this piece harbours a stress crack across the bottom and up 2 sides as shown in the pictures. Please check the last three pictures. **** I usually do not handle glass pieces with damage, but I decided to make the exception with this very rare item. Firstly, we didn't mishandle it. One of our colleagues bought it this way as a perfect piece and didn't discover the stress crack until afterwards. We are reselling it on behalf of our upset colleague. Appraised at about $2800 to $3600 UNDAMAGED, we have set a firm and quite fair price for this still very beautiful piece. This vase shows quite spectacularily on all sides based on the aspect that the stress cracks are parallel with the colour striations of the glass. The price set is firm and is about 22.5 % of its' value in perfect condition. For what is basically a very expensive piece, is now quite afforadble for a serious Loetz collector. The best factor of this piece is that it shows as if it doesn't have any problems anyways ! Could still very well grace itself inside a glass museum display. Price: $750.00 CDN

Reads on the bottom " Superior electro plate 57- 4 " with no maufacturer's name, unless it is the " Superior Plating Company ". Often confused with Sheffield Plate, but Sheffield products either say " Sheffield plate " or have fake styled hallmarks on them , purporting them to look like sterling silver. This piece is either North American or British, but most likely made in Canada or the USA. Has an excellently styled rib pattern all around. This was considered a radical design and away from the norm of Continental dinnerwares and tea services. These teapots were accepted by few people and rejected by the droves. Finding nice examples of this new art form is indeed difficult. Though I rarely handle much in this type of silver plate on site, pieces that capture the aura of a new design stage most certainly catch my interest and fancy. A very important item of the seccessionist design movement. Priced about the same as a new teapot from Walmart made in China, except that this one is 140 years old and very radical in desgn. This is quadruple plated ( or better ) silver on spelter/pewter, or a combination " white pot metal ". Price: $62.00 USD

Has a small opening to put a small silver caviar spoon into it. Could also probably be used for salt or mustard but I'm pretty sure that it is for caviar. Circa France 1880 - 1888. This bronze encompasses all the design elements of late Victorian art era, specifically in France. This piece somewhat looks like the Statue of Liberty, or " Lady Liberty ". I just call it a " Libertad " piece. Somewhat Neo-Classical in design as well. The detail chiselling is intense throughout showng what great lengths the sculptor went to to get this bronze showing realistic detail of the highest calibre. It is unfortunate that this piece is unsigned, because it should be. This is the best pre-1900 unsigned bronze that I have ever handled. It will please the most discriminating art and bronze collector alike.
