This was before the Exhibition was called the Canadian National Exhibition or the CNE. The interior emblem is enamelled metal showing the Princess gates , which still stands today. CNE archive collecting is an amazing area of study. Though I've never seen an early candy dish like this, there are lots of other neat things to find such as ruby glasses with various descriptions, Indian bead items and the ever popular CNE Medals shaped like a tombstone. Measures 3 1/2 " across by 1 " high. Excellent condition but used in the past. RARE. Price: $42.00 CDN

Made of wood and … This item is certainly the " Item of the Month " , of the week ............. or perhaps the year. An absolute spectacle of American Folk Art...bar none. Made of wood and stands 10 " high by about 5 " deep by 3 1/2 " wide. Excellent condition with no real problems to note. One ear is a little dinted and there are a few very small age cracks and the odd superficial ding. The paint is all original. The geometric proportions of this siamese cat are superb. The colours are highly accurate and blended well. The head is turned a fabulous 180 degrees which is a dynamic factor to consider with when determining value. It is much like having a duck decoy with the head turned fully backwards as well. I will have to contact Christies , New York on the value of this one. I have never handled such a fine piece of folk art like this before. Serious offers and inquiries will be gladly heard. Price: $ POR

The marble has 2 very small taps from moving or contact. Marked " process patented - CAN-NO Art Marble Company ", which was an affiliated company with the Famous Peterboro Canoe Company of Peterborough, Ontario Canada. This was an art division or branch of the canoe company which made some decorative arts when the canoe season was slow. These lamps are extremely rare and are seldom found. They may have only been made for one year or so. This is the only one which I have come across to date. The upper pipe section is made of brass. A nice piece of Ontario History. Price: $165.00 CDN
