Graded MS66 Red & Brown , an absolutely stunning coin. Fresh and clean surfaces . Though lots of uncs exist for this date , finding a cherry is quite elusive as for decades these coins got no respect at coin shows and were literally mishandled and tossed around in junk boxes for over a quarter of a century . Worthy of a finest collection. Offers always welcome.

Measures 25 mm diameter , weight of 3.0 grams. The nicest milled sixpence I have ever seen ! This coin is usually found with a weak obverse portrait but not this piece . No bending or ripples , the obverse fields are rather clean with old time time patina. The reverse is as nearly spectacular showing light high point circulation , something that really lacks somewhat on the obverse. keeping this coin out of $1,000 price territory is a small cross hatch in the Upper Right quadrant of the reverse. It's visible but still rather faint. The Elizabeth silver series of coinage certainly endured trauma of all sorts , but this coin overall is truly a wonder to behold and is the finest that I have handled , in any denomination, especially as for the spectacular portrait. being a milled coin as opposed to hammered. it makes this coin and exceptional historical acquisition. This coin is from a longtime collection started in the early 1970's and recently dispersed via estate . The first time this coin has been offered via the internet. Priced beyond fairly , won't last.
