The bottom has remnants of a smooth edge Fratelli Toso sticker. Appears student made and a bit rushed. The bullicante execution is nice , but the color matrix is off. This piece is unsigned, Though many of Bianconi pieces are triple acid line stamped, this particular handkerchief vase is often found with the brown paper postage stamp label. Piece is also undamaged and in museum quality condition. One can search other sites online and literally go through 1,000 's of handkerchief vases and not find one done in this technique. It is a three step rather time consuming process to first matte out the canes of glass and form them into a flat sheet. The sheet then has to be formed into a bowl without blowing , then it has to be twisted , and then it has to be crimped, all without screwing it up. A masterpiece of Murano glass. Every Murano glass collection isn't really complete without an iconic handkerchief vase developed by the Venini House. A very blue chip offering. ( TAPC CODE 901XPPKK ) .
