This plaque was bought at auction in the early 1970's and was salvaged from a torn down sporting goods store in Toronto, Ontario. I've included nice full pictures of the front and back. Blade is etched " WEBER - LUZERN " , so this blade was made to be retailed at the World Famous Webers knife shoppe in Lucerne , Switzerland . On the box there is also a secondary sticker that says " Ostende " , which is a Belgium Sporting goods retailer as well. The Knife is in GEM PRISTINE CONDITION and never used. I have never seen an original 501 model this old in this condition , anywhere . I have never seen an original box for a 3 1/4 ' Swiss army knife , anywhere in my lifetime, for a knife of this period. The box and knife for these combos this old are always separated , never to be united again. This combo is literally a freak of nature . I searched the web for an equivalent and found none , zero. There might be knives in mint condition out there in collections somewhere , and this one is destined for the same neighborhood. Excessively rare. Offers entertained. Price: $500.00 USD
