Measures 2 " by 3 " by 5 " long . Outstanding condition with only some minor abrasion. Appears to be unused. Circa 1928 and manufactured by Kirby, Beard & Co of Paris , France . Although this duck shape is probably standard for the time period , the color and origin of retailer is not. Called " DUCKY " on the bottom . American and Canadian versions of the duck bottle opener were never called by this name. It is certainly odd that the writing is in English , but not terribly uncommon either . Between the wars many items were described in English due to the amount of servicemen still stationed in France. A wonderful hunters piece . RARE like this. Offers welcome.

Circa 1888 to 1895. An American tin from Wilimington, Delaware. Measures 6 1/4 " diameter by 7 " high. Nice condition with original stamped spelter screw top. The Hercules company was one of many chemical and explosive companies bought up by The Duponts from around 1900 to 1914. This can however seems to be a true can made before Duponts involvements. The first that I have seen in my travels so it must be pretty rare as such. I have found no previous online auction records for such a type of tin.
