Unsigned , possibly due to the smaller area in which to execute a signature without going into the body of the glass. Superb condition with no damage. Base has lots of normal wearing. The glass is thick and a little uneven at the top edge which is typical of Gunnel's works. Control bubbles are perfectly symmetrical, except near the pontil centre. Colour is DARKER than what the pictures suggest. A unique piece of glass that comes from a Danish Canadian estate which had a few dozen or so pieces of Scandinavian Art. A very nice item. Superb undamaged condition . **** These pieces are extremely tough to find in this state of preservation. Centre colour is red , followed by yellow and then clear. Simply a masterpiece of colour and geometric moderne expression. It really doesn't matter if this vase is Murano origin or not because it is of the same quality or better , and from the time time period, and also from a well - trained glass blower. My favorite type of Murano glass. From an important Toronto Medical doctor collection. FEB 2011 update , a professional glass dealer has emailed in saying this vase is made by Murano - Veteria and designed by Flavio Poli. Cenedese shops made similar items as well. Price: $219.00 USD
