Circa around 1955 to 1960 and seldom seen in catalog references. This item is in choice condition, but not mint. Near the top of the cap there is a small oxidation issue. Additionally the ballpoint does not lock down to write. It may have the wrong replacement catridge which is in the pen. This pen is sold on its' design and style characteristics only. In my opinion this model is their nicest ball point of the 50's era. Sold AS-IS and shouldn't disappoint the advanced Sheaffer collector. Ask extra questions before buying if needed. Shows VERY WELL. These pens are seldom found with their original torpedo nose cap.

Circa 1890 . Ed. Todd & Company in the late 1800's was the crème de la crème maker of fine executive writing instruments. Based in New York , most of their items were sold by Tiffany... or made for Tiffany. This pen is not monogrammed ! reads " EDWARD Todd & Co NY 10KT ". lots of 10 kt gold for that matter . The extendable barrel and cap is all gold. This pen measures 3 7/8 " closed and a beautiful 5 1/2 " when fully opened. It is both mechanical pencil and dip pen. The nib is set deeply and also looks to be 14 kt gold. This instrument is a total masterpiece and worthy of the best writing instrument collection. THE BEST TODD & Co I've handled. Offers considered.

9 carat shaft ( unmarked ) with rolled gold and gold plated accents. No markings or personalized monograms. Measures 4 " long when closed and 5 " long when open. Weighs 21.1 grams, which is by far the biggest retractable pencil that I have ever handled in gold. Excellent condition but for a small dint in the upper shaft which should be left alone, or else only straightened out by the finest of restorers. The butt of the pencil is like a king's crown with a fine cut quality citrine set inside it. Very possibly a man's pencil as opposed to a womans'. Estimated gold value alone if melted should be about $200 to $250. A masterpiece and a fine work of art.

Made for a short time period between 1885 and 1892. This one is in nice excellent condition with silver plate wearing on the handle portion. No chips. Understand that these inkwells are very CONDITION SENSITIVE as they were literally played with like curling stones , often damaging the sides when they smashed into other things , so fine examples are worth a premium. I would like to have a whole set of 16 one day and that has been a long time goal of mine. measures 2 1/2 ' by about 1 3/4 " high . These are tremendously popular as curling has developed in the Olympics. SCARCE , but even scarcer in fine condition such as this.
