Circa 1892 to 1905. Measures 6 " high by 7 " diameter. Superb undamaged condition. Marked " 21 011 " 3 & " PP . Rich iridized metallic greenish finish. Museum quality. The Heliosine factory was known for executing superb masterpieces of Art Nouveau and Secessionist pottery wares for many high end retailers and wholesalers. Items in this art form are quite rare and still well undiscovered by many decorative arts collectors. Production of this material ended by the start of World War 1 . Mint condition pieces are truly rare as a large majority were damaged during the war years. This bowl vase must have given inspiration to the American pottery houses such as Grueby & Teco. A masterpiece from the Art Nouveau era. Rare.

Measures 5 " diameter by 3 " high. Impressed marking " Graeme Storm " . Circa 1960 - 1964. G. Storm is world famous and did most of his best works in New Zealand. He studied and worked alongside greats such as Leach, Kawal and Hamada. Recognised by the Victoria and Albert Museum in the 1970's when he exhibited there. Pieces are now found in worldwide museums with some in the British Royal Collection. His favorite colours were that of Peacock blue. Storm's father was from Finland, which allowed him many visits back to Scandinavia, which enabled him to learn modernist designs at an early age, as well as allowing him to refine his glazing techniques. Circa 1910's. Matte glaze. Measures 5 1/2 " high by 4 1/2 " wide by 2 1/4 " thick . No discernible markings but something might be legible within the base glaze on the bottom. Notice that there are 2 large flakes in the base as this piece probably got stuck in the kiln. The base is machined flat as with most better American pottery makers . Will fit into a set of Grueby, Newcombe or other American collection. A nice period entry level item.
