It is uncleaned and has heavy oxidization over the silver plate. Has very old solder repair , which was done quite decntly and doesn't detract. The second lure is a turn of the century # 1 sized Buel lure, marked as such, circa 1895 . Blade measures 2 3/8 " long, has a dressed goose feather weedless bell guarded hook with a wire copper trailer. Has full old luminous paint. Standard size. Full leather tail and leather ears. This lure was New Jersey Rigged for the 3 hook law that they had in place many years ago. Has paint loss on the back as shown. The paint was so uncannily thin on these lures so as to making really nice ones worth multiples of book values. This mouse was made with no primer or undercoat. Perhaps Heddon was in a rush to get the lures out so they just skipped the 4 or 5 part paint process and just put on the finish design coat. Interesting study piece. A very cute lure at that.
