Missing the leather brass flap snapping locking strap, but still closes well with the auxillary side snaps. A fresh find from spring 2011. This box only had a few really nice lures but lots of mid-range material as well. Measures 14 " by 8 " by 6 " . Overall a very desirable early tackle box from the turn of the century ! Scarce. No manufacturers markings. Has 2 removable wooden trays with lure spacers. Nice musty olde-time smell as well. Priced to sell. Price: $260.00 USD

G Marsh was about 42 years old with intentions of getting a patent for the lure. War then broke out and he probably abandoned his patent intents for a while. We later find his wife filing for a patent in the 1930's. Despite all of this information, these lures are really scarce and an integral part into a Canadian lure collection. At swap meets 15 years ago there would be 3 or 4 floating around the floor that nobody paid any attention, but now just trying to find one for sale at a swap meet can be a real challenge. Those 3 or 4 available a while back actually represented a good precentage of what existed as new finds are certainly rare indeed. Less than 60 known in serious Canadian lure collections. In 15 years of handling antique tackle I have handled only 14 Marsh Minnows as opposed to about 46 Delanys. Price: $155.00 CDN

The difference of this lure is that it is copper with 2 fins on the bottom and only ONE on the top, whereby the Kaush versions are reversed. The third picture appears that the lure is scratched, BUT IT IS NOT, it is just obscured glare on the lure. A scarce and neat item. One really wonders how many Kaush type minnows are really out there ?? Price: $100.00 USD
