Stands 6 " inches high. This is a quad-nickel plated copper paperweight. In the 1920's car problems in the city started to mount, which led to the introduction of parking signs and then parking meters. This paperweight expresses the disgust of the first introduction of parking control measures. This is a PERIOD item and is rare as such. Title says it all. No makers signatures. Stands 6 " inches high on a marble / alabaster base. Excellent condition, the base has one tiny flake. One of the wings of the stork was cast thin and has a small 0.5mm opening but it is very tough to see. The wings were cast separately and then attached to the body. Well made. This item is most likley French. Possibly made much earlier as it is very tough to tell ..... many animaliers made items like this from the 1870's to well into the 1930's. Without a signature it is hard to tell for certain. Four pictures in total.
