Priced for the pair, both in excellent undamaged condition. Measures 4 " high by 2 " wide . Based are finished with caliper cuts . Circa 1870 - 1880. Stems have jointed compressed knops. As ice cream was quite expensive in the Victorian years , amounts sold to people were basically a very small scoop. Special glasses were constructed to facilitate the experience. Often these glasses were frozen as well to maintain the coldness of the ice cream longer. Often confused with earlier Georgian Deception glasses. It is very possible that these glasses doubled as liquor servers as well. Scarce to find and for the seasoned early glass collector. ( TACP CODE 043EEXXC4 )

Circa 1830's , American. Measures 6 1/4 "{ high by 2 1/2 " diameter. A well documented scent bottle shape from New England , often found engraved but this one isn't. Has matching bottle to stopper numbers of " 21 " , etched on both pieces. Very fine condition or better , has obvious and much expected base wearing, stopper has some bites , body has some bites but none gross, the flared rim has a larger flint flake loss that was grounded out probably a century ago. This is shown in the pictures. Overall a wonderful historical and all original example of an early 19th century flint glass bottle , with cut panel design. Worthy of any American glass collection or museum. Very hard to find nicer without the prices doubling and tripling. Many examples of new England Glass are already in major glass museums. A nice acquisition. ( PACT CODE 722EYYXX )

By the Venini Glass Shop of Murano , Italy , circa 1950's. Measures 6 " wide by about 4 1/2 " high , lightly tapered at the bottom. This piece is unsigned, Though many of Bianconi pieces are triple acid line stamped, this particular handkerchief vase is often found with the brown paper postage stamp label. Piece is also undamaged and in museum quality condition. One can search other sites online and literally go through 1,000 's of handkerchief vases and not find one done in this technique. It is a three step rather time consuming process to first matte out the canes of glass and form them into a flat sheet. The sheet then has to be formed into a bowl without blowing , then it has to be twisted , and then it has to be crimped, all without screwing it up. A masterpiece of Murano glass. Every Murano glass collection isn't really complete without an iconic handkerchief vase developed by the Venini House. A very blue chip offering. ( TAPC CODE 901XPPKK ) . Offered from an estate dispersal that needs to be settled. Price is below full retail.

Circa 1963 or near so. Measures 3 " by 4 " by 6 " long . Scarce ice blue colour. Per Lutkin at Holmegaard had about 85 to 90 % of his mid century designs executed in smoked glass. AS nobody else was executing consumer glass designs in smoked glass he felt that it was their market more or less. As others starting to appreciate the smoked glass concept Lutkin occasionally made his designs in clear , Ice blue and amber to change things up a bit. The clear designs were not very popular and are found at times. The blue and amber designs were a little more expensive to produce and appear to be the most sought after of his designs. Colleagues of mine figure that Lutkin made over 600 designs of different shapes and colors over his tenure with Holmegaard, making it a challenge to complete an entire ensemble. Love it or hate it , Holmegaard is collected worldwide with a vast array of collectors by colours , shapes and sizes. Found in most glass museums around the world as well..

Circa sometime between 1965 and 1968. Measures about 4 " by 4 " by 4 " . Obviously quite angular in shape. No damage and in superb condition. Designed by Rene Roubicek. Roubicek was a glass technician who was involved with glass cutting procedures and glass color processing. He obviously got his chance to design at Exbor as well, albeit for a very short and limited time. Exbor glass animals from the 1960's and early 1970's are now finding their way into glass museums worldwide. What makes this frog exceptionally desirable is that it is in plain clear glass. Most are found in shades of green. RARE.
