A nice German proof pattern. Lightly handled in the past. This flamboyant pattern was a hopeful for being struck in gold, however it wasn't chosen.

Trivia question, which country do you think will be last to give up its' namesake currency ? Struck in pure gold.

This coin is misattributed as Stolberg-Stolberg but is actually Stolberg-Rossla, the C-37 label is correct but the grader looked at the opposite page to get his proper state. Nevertheless, the 2 state sectors are only miles apart. This coin is over 240 years old and is in splendid mintstate preservation. This is the best " STAG " coin I have ever encountered. Mark free with very fresh fields and nice toning. The obverse stag has some adjustment marks which is common on all these coins. Simply a beautiful coin and candidate for finest known. Superb !
