Measures 9 " diameter by 2 " thick. Perfect condition. Though not expensive now, these pieces have much potential to increase in value. Janson's Pottery best resembles the quality of Van Briggle from the USA. Price: $29.00 CDN

Possibly designed or inspired by Yumiko Noda. Japanese glass has gained in popularity over the past decade, what remains to be seen is what new innovations are going to be developed which hasn't been done before. Scarce. These pieces were only available in higher end yuppie Japanese shops and didn't make much penetration in other world glass markets. Understand that these pieces are hand made under very strict tolerances. A glass lathe cutter was implemented for the facet cutting obviously. Price: $125.00 USD

The underside is lightly inscribed the whole length of the carving. T letter " K's " T's R's and multiple A's are also legible , but not in sequence except " AK " . Most likely from Rankin Inlet as this type of stone is predominant there . Circa 1950's or very early 1960's. Subject matter is that of a simplistic sea otter. Tiktak is well known for his simplistic Inuit carvings, however he did carve other subject matter and is well documented as well. Price: $265.00 CDN

Circa 1959 - 1961 ? Salette studied and painted alongside Jean Paul Riopelle during the late 1950's and 1960's, albeit he was younger in age at that time and junior to Riopelle. He did much in the area of abstract art. I consider his work better than Riopelle, or at least as good. Salette is by far lesser known but is talked about in sharp art circles. He is also known for his abstract called " Azimut " , painted in 1961 and also " Souvenirs " painted during the time time period as well. This work is a masterpiece in superb undamaged condition. Unsigned as most of his works as they interfered with his presentations on the canvas. Double tagged on the back with his original gallery typeset labels. This art pieces explodes off the canvas in a dazzling array of colours simply putting you.....inside a tempest, so to speak. Belongs in a distinguished gallery or private collection.
