A nice example . Since this coin is the only PEI produced coin it also encompasses the entire series in specimen all in one package. Though most of the 300 or so mint state coins from the hoard are in red , the specimens are not . The specimens are rather toned and matte in appearance . This coin is graded SP64 , Red and Brown with coinage alignment , or sometimes called ' upside down alignment or flip alignment ". Coin exhibits extreme detail and has 90 degree edges . Offers considered.

Title says it all , all original multi toned surfaces on near flawless fields. One of the hardest ..... if not the hardest date of the George VI series based on up to date population reports . This date has surpassed the likes of the 1938 and scarce 1941 date in ultra high grades. Trends will continue to go higher on these key dates . Very dapper.

Title says it all , graded MS64 by ANACAS but looks full gem or better . With security at an all time high at the Royal Canadian Mint , the numbers of error coins leaving the mint are now at an all time low. This error is highly plausible as either a loose blank was tossed back into the hopper , or got stuck in the system somehow. This is a beautiful looking coin that has only half of its' beaded border and is underweight. This piece is also thinner than a normally struck quarter from 1978. VERY RARE. Graded SP64. A mirror specimen with proof characteristics. The reverse rates a full SP66 while I grade the Obverse SP64.50 . The coin is very much in gem territory. All copper specimens of anything from the 1860's era are truly rare finds, no matter which country they were minted for. This coin easily rates in the top 3 or 4 known. Museum quality. Regrade and upgrade possible with PCGS or NGC . Serious only .

Breton # 508 , mintmark " T " not noted. Nicely toned and very sharp for the grade. I remember 30 years ago at JA Auctions that these coins went for $350 - $425 every time one went up for sale. They are not quite as expensive now, but still a nice relic of Canada's earliest circulating coinage. A much rarer coin as this coin was only minted for three years with this mint mark.

A superb coin with exceptionally clean fields and original satin russet lustre. This coin was pregraded as a MS65 , but came back a 64. A small directional tick near the mouth might be the culprit , but all other aspects of the coin exceed and compensate the coin to a gem value grade. Anyways, call it a very nice originally toned MS64 , way closer to a 65 than a 64 however. It appears that NGC is very hard on the 1937 date of Canadian coins , which appear more in mint state being the first year of the moose series. I know that it is actually a caribou, but why not change the coin to a moose now ?

Simply outstanding sheen and electric mauve burgundy red hues. This was my last quarter that I submitted to NGC a while ago. This coin was pregraded by myself as a MS65 as well as from the dealer . Nice flawless fields and dancing fresh lustre. The extreme back of Georges neck has a faint belt drop from another coin, which in reality shouldn't drop the coin out of gem category, since without this micro blemish the coin would be asking for a 66 grade. All original and still an outstanding coin.
