Issued for trading posts in the higher Arctic and used from 1946 to 1962. This is a complete set and includes the square token which was redeemed in trade for one white arctic fox. The artic fox token was worth about ten 100 cents tokens and was the " gold coin " of the grouping. The conditions of each token are as follows. 5 cents is a well used XF, 10 cents uncirculated with a very light scratch, 25 cents is a nice MS62 uncirculated, 50 cents about AU 50, 100 cents is near AU and the 1 White Fox token is a well used XF. Comes with the custom felted glass topped display box. If the offer is good I am willing to sell the white fox token on its' own and break up the set so to speak. A nice set. Despite the simplicity of the tokens these are incredibly getting more difficult to obtain, let alone a whole set. These tokens were money and were very valuable in the cold Arctic. You couldn't just steal a handful out of the trading post. ( VAIS CODE # 104 )

An early pre-confederation token from the coin shortage years. This piece is nice and well worn, yet still exhibits a wonderful aura. Fully original with original patina. These tokens are getting extremely popular with collectors. The Simple Legends " Canada - 1841 " and " half penny " ensured that these coins would be accepted on par with British halfpennies. These coins are getting increasingly more difficult to find and current catalog prices appear quite low.

Found in England , the State of Vermont and also Canada. Often called the Bungtown Token. Weight of 5.8 grams. What is neat about this token is that is has a series of clipped edges. Whoever made this token took off excess weight all around the token making it similar to a Canadian nickel in the 1950's with a rigid edge. Sometimes called the " Bitit " blacksmith token as well.
